Biography

EDUCATE. EMPOWER. ENLIGHTEN

Fr. Sabu Thomas is a catholic priest hailing from the Archdiocese of Thalassery, who has made significant contributions in various fields . He is a professor, motivational speaker, life coach, and, has published 9 successful books so far. Fr. Sabu conducts workshops, Seminars, training programs, and retreats, both offline and online, catering to a diverse audience across the country and beyond. His primary objective is to provide practical guidance to individuals to help them achieve their goals and recognise their potential.

Fr. Sabu Thomas has played a crucial role in influencing more than 1,000 educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, by conducting various educational sessions. Notably, he trained 30,000 teachers in using artificial intelligence tools in education across 170 workshops between June 2023 and June 2024. During the Covid-19 lockdown from June to August 2021, he trained around 4,000 teachers on how to effectively engage online teaching and learning. He received the prestigious national honour titled "Teacher Empowerment Award" from Catholic Conference of Bishops of India in 2024 for his commendable service rendered in the field of Education.

With many years of teaching experience, Fr. Sabu Thomas is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department English, Sacred Heart College, Kochi from 2013. He has exceptional skills to inspire and transform the lives of young individuals through motivational training sessions. He was instrumental in initiating lot of extension activities in the campus from 2014, such as "Thanal Maram", Hospital Ministry, Educare, Honesty shop, Orphanage Ministry etc. The report he submitted on those initiatives caused for the College to receive National Award from Xavier Board of Higher Education in 2019, for the best College in the Country imparting holistic education to the students. He has received student service award of the college in the same year.

Fr. Sabu Thomas was born in the year 1975 at Peravoor, Kannur District Kerala. After completing class 10 he joined St. Joseph's Minor Seminary, Thlasssery and continued his studies for priesthood at St. Joseph's Seminary, Aluva. His ordination was in 2002 January 1 and worked as assistant in 3 parishes and as vicar in one parish. He had his Masters in English Literature from Loyola College, Chennai, Mphil from Madras Christian College, qualified UGC NET in 2012 and currently pursues his PhD from M.G. University Kottayam as a part time Scholar. He is also secretary to AKM Charitable Trust Kalamassery which does lot of service to the needy people around.
