Fr. Sabu Thomas (Fr. Joseph Kumbuckal )

Fr. Sabu Thomas is a Catholic priest from the Archdiocese of Thalassery who also works as a professor, researcher, motivational speaker, life coach, and author. He has published 9 successful books, with "Dhivyakarunyathinte Vanambadi" standing out for selling 35,000 copies in 2022-23 and becoming popular on Amazon. Sabu Thomas organizes workshops, training programs, and retreats, available both online and offline, targeting a broad audience including teachers, students, parents, nuns, and priests across India and internationally. His goal is to provide practical guidance to help individuals achieve their goals and recognize their potential.

He has significantly contributed to education, influencing over 1,000 educational institutions by helping students and teachers adapt to contemporary challenges through various educational sessions. Notably, between June and December 2023, he trained 14,000 teachers in using artificial intelligence tools in education across 101 workshops. Additionally, during the Covid-19 lockdown from June to August 2021, he moved his training online, teaching 4,000 teachers how to effectively engage in online teaching and learning.

 Pursued his Bachelors in Arts (Philosophy) at Pontifical Institute Carmalgiri Aluva and Theological Studies at St. Joseph's Pontifical Seminary, Aluva & Masters in English Literature from Loyola College, Chennai and M.Phil in English Language and Literature from Madras Christian College, Chennai.

 In-Charge of Jesus Youth movement in the Sacred Heart College Thevara which launched various social work related initiatives for which the college received the National Award for the best catholic college in India that promotes Christian Values from Xavier Board of Higher Education in the year 2018.

- SH Striders, Hospital Ministry, Thanal Maram, Orphanage Ministry, Honesty Shop, Harvest, and Soultice are some of these initiatives.

- Through the program "EDUCARE", trained 30 under privileged & slow learning students of the nearby Sacred Heart high School for 2 years and helped them all pass Grade 10 with best results. The Program offers them a continued support and accompaniment.

- During Covid 19 Lock Down Days, organised a program Titled "EDGE" which trained 60 Girl Students of Class 10 from 6 different Schools in Kochi in online mode for 30 hours and empowered them with Life Skills.

- Received Best Student Service Award of the college in the year 2020
 Secretary of AKM Charitable trust, Kalamassery which helps poor kidney patients for free dialysis.

- Conducts Online& Offline Workshops for Teachers, Students, Parents, Youth, Priests & Nuns on Various Topics Such as Team Building, Life Skills, Value Based Education, Conflict Management, Artificial Intelligence Tools, Blended Class Rooms, Collaborative & Participatory Teaching/ learning, Techniques for effective Catechism for New Gen.
